From: Trevor R Nunn
14 January 2009
Dear Sir or Madam,
During the last five years how many times has the Local Government
Ombudsman (as a result of investigating a complaint against West
Dorset District Council) brought to the attention of the council
the fact that a member of West Dorset District Council staff had
misled them, lied to them or done anything else to hinder their
investigation. If they have what disciplinary action was taken
against the individual(s) concerned by the council.
Yours faithfully,
Trevor R Nunn

Thank you for your email of 14 January 2009 concerning Local Government
Ombudsman investigations.
The Senior Democratic Services Officer at West Dorset District Council has
informed me that it is her understanding that there have been no occasions

of investigating a complaint against West Dorset District Council) has
brought to the attention of the council that a member of council staff had
misled them, lied to them or done anything else to hinder their
investigation.
This would appear to conclude your enquiry satisfactorily. If you have
any concerns in respect of our response to your information request,
please contact me again at West Dorset District Council, Stratton House,
58-60 High West Street, Dorchester, Dorset DT1 1UZ.
