Dear Mr Nunn

I write further to your Freedom of Information request of the 14th of
January.

You ask:
"During the last five years how many times has the Local Government
Ombudsman (as a result of investigating a complaint against South Ribble
Borough Council) brought to the attention of the council the fact that a
member of South Ribble Borough Council staff had misled them, lied to
them or done anything else to hinder their investigation. If they have
what disciplinary action was taken against the individual(s) concerned
by the council."

I am unaware of any occasion during the last five years when the
Ombudsman has complained of a Council employee in the terms you
describe. You should note that during the last five years there have
been no findings of maladministration against the Council.
