Dear Sir or Madam,

During the last five years how many times has the Local Government
Ombudsman (as a result of investigating a complaint against Purbeck
District Council) brought to the attention of the council the fact
that a member of Purbeck District Council staff had misled them,
lied to them or done anything else to hinder their investigation.
If they have what disciplinary action was taken against the
individual(s) concerned by the council.

Dear Mr. Nunn,

Thank you for your e-mail of 13th July, 2009 which came as a considerable
surprise. I co-ordinate the Council's response to FOIA requests and have
no record of any request from you on or about 12th January, 2009. I say
this with a note of caution, however, because at that time there were some
issues with auto-forwarding of e-mails from the generic FOIA e-mail
address.

So let me apologise if indeed your request was one of those that didn't
reach me.

Purbeck is a small authority and I'm also the person who deals with
Ombudsman matters and have done so for many years. I can confirm,
therefore, that the answer to your FOIA request in nil.
