Dear Sir or Madam,

During the last five years how many times has the Local Government
Ombudsman (as a result of investigating a complaint against Mid
Suffolk District Council) brought to the attention of the council
the fact that a member of Mid Suffolk District Council staff had
misled them, lied to them or done anything else to hinder their
investigation. If they have what disciplinary action was taken
against the individual(s) concerned by the council.

The Act as you are probably aware gives us twenty working days in which to respond which therefore gives a due date of 10th February.
If I can respond before this date I will obviously do so and should there be a delay for any reason I will keep you informed of progress with the request.

Further to my acknowledgement of your request yesterday I have just heard back from the District Monitoring Officer.
He has confirmed to me that this situation has never arisen here therefore I have no recorded information to offer you.
