Dear Sir or Madam,
During the last five years how many times has the Local Government
Ombudsman (as a result of investigating a complaint against
Lancaster City Borough Council) brought to the attention of the
council the fact that a member of Lancaster City Council staff had
misled them, lied to them or done anything else to hinder their
investigation. If
they have what disciplinary action was taken against the
individual(s) concerned by the council.
Yours faithfully,
Trevor R Nunn

With regard to your recent FOI request. I can confirm that we have had
no instances of the Local Government Ombudsman reporting that a member
of Lancaster City Council staff had misled them, lied to them or done
anything else to hinder their
investigation.
If you are not happy with this response please contact me in the first
instance. If you are still not satisfied you have the right to ask for
an internal review of the decision. This will be dealt with by the Head
of Legal and Human Resources. If your appeal is not resolved you would
then have the further right to appeal to the Information Commissioner
for an independent review.
