LG Act 1974 Part III Section 32(3) notices

Your application for information that was received by the Council on 12
October 2009 has now been considered and this email is a full response to
that application.

Your request was to be supplied with the following information: Over the
last five years -

(1) How many Local Government Act Part III Section 32(3) notices

has your council served on a Local Government Ombudsman.

(2) How many times has the Ombudsman concerned found the council

guilty of maladministration for misusing a Section 32(3) notice.

The Council does hold the information that you have requested. There have
been no notices served on the Local Government Ombudsman and therefore no
'guilty for misuse' responses from the Local Government Ombudsman.

Please note that the information supplied to you continues to be protected
by the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. You can use the
information supplied for your own purposes, including any non-commercial
research you are doing and for the purposes of news reporting. Any other
reuse such as commercial publication would require the permission of the
