24 June 2010
Dear Bassetlaw District Council,
The Retford Times, 10 June 2010, in an article titled "Planning
application rejection leads airport chiefs to increase number of
training flights," printed the following quoted comments which were
attributed to Mr Martin Bell, spokesman for Retford (Gamston)
Airport:
"The airport's view is that the existing planning conditions are
invalid because they don't meet government criteria and it believes
the council's former Head of Legal Services and Head of Planning
Development Control both shared that view."
Please provide all documentation in which the past and/or present
Head of Legal Services, and the past and/or present Head of
Planning Development Control express their view with regard to the
legality of any planning conditions related to Retford (Gamston)
Airport.
Yours faithfully,
Garland Hopkins
