Dear John Walker,

With reference to your freedom of information request, please find as
follows the collated response:-

1. the name of the training provider

The training provider is Fields of Learning

2. the name of the courses that will be provided, the dates of each
course, the numbers of people attending each course and the cost of each
course.

It is a development programme rather than course. It is named the
Leadership Development Programme

It comprises:-

Module One -          Me as a Leader

Module Two -           Driving Performance

Module Three -        Making it Real

Workshop One -      Media and Reputation Management

Workshop Two -      Partnership Working with the Voluntary Sector

Workshop Three -   Political Awareness

Module  Four -         Consolidation

Dates for the individual modules and workshops are given in the attached
document.

There are 11 programmes taking place. The number on each programme varies
from 19-22 depending on the cohort.

The total cost of running a single programme is £36,000 which is
equivalent to approximately £1,800 per person. This compares very well
with the cost of other training programmes of this duration.

3. a copy of the course syllabuses and training material

An exemption has been requested for this information as it is regarded as
commercially sensitive. Once the Exemptions board have made a decision as
to whether the information should be released or not we will advise you.

Firstly I would like to apologise for typing the incorrect month in my
last email to you. I should have said that the exemption panel was due to
meet in mid December (not November as typed below).

I believe you have now been sent some information relating to your
request. The remainder of the information will be presented to the
exemption panel in December. Once the exemption panel has reviewed the
information and made a decision we will write to you with the outcome.

With respect to your request for an internal review, we can only do this
on information withheld after the exemption panel had met - made a
decision - and you have been advised of the outcome. If you are unhappy
once you have received the final response you can advise us that you wish
an internal review to take place.
