Lead Pellet Ban in NI wetland compliance budget

Max Power made this Freedom of Information request to Department of the Environment (Northern Ireland)

Dear Sir or Madam,

Could you please provide me with the total amount of money
allocated for this and the next financial year to ensuring that our
out of control shooters and shooting organizations comply with the
recent ban in the use of lead shotgun pellets in wetland areas?

Could you also provide the total amount of money allocated to
monitoring the success of this new law for this and the next
financial year?

Lead shotgun pellets are an imminent threat to our rare avian
wildlife in Northern Ireland and force the birds to die a slow
agonizing and needless death. The Department of the Environment
must play a full role in stopping these slaughterers firing lead
pellets, only for them to be mistakenly consumed by our wildlife.

Please note that replies which involve attachments in proprietary
file formats (such as PDFs, Word Documents and others) are not
acceptable. A reply which is not in plain text format will be
deemed to be a refusal to answer.

Yours faithfully,

Max Power
