Lack of out of hours GP surgery in Runcorn

Mr McParland made this Freedom of Information request to Halton and St Helens Primary Care Trust (PCT)

The request was refused by Halton and St Helens Primary Care Trust (PCT).

From: Mr McParland

Dear Sir or Madam,

Can you please let me know why there is no out of hours surgery
/drop in centre in Runcorn.

I work long hours, at a distance of over 30 miles away from Halton
so find it impossible to attend the doctor's during normal hours.

At one timer practices used to open on a Saturday morning, this is
no longer the case and a trip to the nearest drop in centre means
crossing the bridge which is often fraught with difficulties at the
weekend.

Furthermore once the bridge toll comes into force it will mean yet
another tax to pay to access a 'free' service.

Yours,

Andy
