Kingsnorth "inquiry"

David Hansen made this Freedom of Information request to National Policing Improvement Agency

National Policing Improvement Agency did not have the information requested.

From: David Hansen

1 April 2009

Dear Sir or Madam,

http://www.kent.police.uk/News/Latest_Ne...
states that, "In addition the Chief Constable has requested the
National Police Improvement Agency carry out a strategic level
review of the policing of Climate Camp."

Is this a different "review" to the "inquiry" you were evasive
about in
http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/ki...
?

If it is a different project then perhaps you will be less evasive
this time and answer the four questions properly:

1) a copy of the terms of reference for the "inquiry".

2) a pen portrait of the careers of those who are undertaking the
"inquiry".

3) a copy of the call for evidence you have made and the names of
the organisations this was sent to.

4) the likely date when the report will be made available to the
public.

If however you have something to hide then you need only reply by
return stating that your answers to the four questions are the
same.

For ease of reference your earlier answer to 1) was evasive waffle.
You refused to answer 2). Your answer to 3) was that you had not
called for evidence. Your answer to 4) was to slope your shoulders.

Please note that if you claim that this is the same "inquiry" then
your answer to 3) is now essentially untenable as it says in
http://www.kent.police.uk/News/Latest_Ne...
that this "review" "will involve the consideration of the issues
raised in the report published by the Liberal Democrat party". Thus
you can no longer claim that you are not considering anything not
sent to you by Kent Police. That report is available at
http://climatecamp.org.uk/node/531 for anyone who wishes to
consider the illegal activities of Kent Police towards the fine
upstanding citizens attending the Climate Camp.

If you wish to improve your performance over that on the last FoI
enquiry that I made to you then I suggest you read the last
paragraph of this enquiry carefully and act on it first, rather
than my having to remind you.

Please note that "replies" which involve attachments in
proprietary file formats are not acceptable. A reply which is not
in plain text format will be deemed to be a refusal to answer.

Yours faithfully,

David Hansen

Dear Sir or Madam,

I forgot to add. Some of the illegal activities of the police
towards the fine upstanding citizens attending the climate camp are
recorded in
http://hamishcampbell.com/2009/03/invest...

If this is a new "review" then please provide documentary evidence
of how this "review" is not to be another example of smug officials
talking to each other and "concluding" what they decided before
starting the "review". This documentary evidence would consist of
your plans to review and take notice of the above and other
evidence, as well as just the claims of officials.

You may take it as read that the last paragraph of my enquiry
applies here too.

Yours sincerely,

David Hansen
