Dear Ms Joseph,

Re: Your request

Thank you for your email dated 14th March 2010, which you make a request
for
information which I now confirm receipt of.

I would like to inform you that there will be a delay in responding to
your request.
The reason for this delay is because the IPCC has over recent months
seen an increase
in the number of information requests it receives and this has in effect
caused a
delay in responding to requests.

I would like to assure you that your request is being processed and once
a decision
has been finalised you will be contacted. I would like to apologies for
the delay and
hope that this does not cause you any inconvenience.

Yours sincerely

Dear !FOI Requests,

this seems to be a standard reply that others have taken issue with
on this site.

an you explain when you expect the data to be proided. please be
more specific. why have the problems not been addressed at the
ipcc, when will they be?

are you commtting an offence by not supplying the data. it strikes
me as very odd that an organisation who oversees our law
enforcement organisation appears to be able to avoid complying with
the law.

maybe i have misunderstood the situation. what offences (if any)
are committed by failing to respond in 20 working days, who is
responsible in the ipcc? Do the ipcc have an exemption, are you
above the law?

i woudl apprecaite further information and do hoep the above is not
consdiered another, seperate, FOIA request

Yours sincerely,

Sarah Joseph
