The request was refused by Ministry of Justice.
From: John Smith

Dear Sir or Madam,
1. While in court and a trial is commencing, does a judge have to
tell the defendant what their name is when asked?
2. While in court and a hearing is commencing, does a magistrate
have to tell the defendant what their name is when asked?
3. With regard to question 2, is this also the case where a council
(local authority) has hired a court to get an order for council tax
payment?
4. In what area of a court room does one have to be to be in
attendance whether before a judge or a magistrate?
Yours faithfully,
John Smith

Dear Miss Angela Lue-Taim,
I can only assume that my request has not been read correctly
because nowhere in it do I ask about "any case that has gone before
the courts", to quote you. They are obviously general questions not
specific to any case.
Kindly give the information I have requested as you are bound by
law to do.
Yours sincerely,
John Smith

What, precisely, do they have to hide? There is obviously something 'big', when such simple Yes/No questions are asked, and those are the responses.
I notice they are in Petty France, which is appropriate, since no-one could supply responses that were more petty.

Dear Miss Angela Lue-Taim,
If you are unable to assist with such simple questions, why are you
dealing with my request?
If the request has been sent to the wrong department, kindly either
pass it to the correct department or to someone that can help me as
is required.
Yours sincerely,
John Smith

There sir/Madam
I am finding that the caseworker Miss Angela Lue-Taim is either
refusing to answer my simple request or is unable to and is now
ignoring me.
In her first reply she states that:
“Unfortunately I am unable to comment on any case that has gone
before the courts. I am sorry that I cannot assist you with your
enquiry”
I cannot how from the request I have made she could assume that she
is being asked to comment on a case that has gone before a court.
She continues to insist:
“I am unable to assist you with your enquiry”
And will not even guide me as to who can or could.
I have now requested this internal review as the legal time limit
has passed.
Yours sincerely,
John Smith

Clearly they are refusing to give the information and do not want to say why. What a useless right we have when they can simply ignore the law.

I think you are all missing something here ! You already know the answers to your questions I am sure!! It is important to realise that all these 'employees' of the so-called-ministeries are in fact just that..... employees. They have no idea what you are asking or how to answer them. Why would the system put in place people who will give the game away..........I am wondering if any of the very senior people in cahrge of these depts.....are Freemasons !!???
