IVY FARM - SAR - governance/contract/PCT

VAL CURTIS made this Freedom of Information request to Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council

The request was partially successful.

From: VAL CURTIS

Dear Sir or Madam,
'Ivy Farm', at Arrowe Country Park was listed under the SAR
recommendations as a building for 'Asset transfer', in the original
list.
Ivy Farm is no longer on that list, it seems.
However, we see that 'Ivy Farm' is to be used for 'Health
Screening' ,on 8th June 09.
We would like to know:
a) For what reason was this building listed..then 'removed' from
list?
b)Has some new contract been agreed with PCT for
hire/use/governance of Ivy Farm by health services? If so, we would
like to access coorrespondence related to that agreeement.
We request sighting of any contract/agreement between Council and
PCT re. use of this building since the disclosure of the SAR, and
also details of any future transactions/'hiring/leasing to take
place.

Thank you.

Yours faithfully,

Ms. Val Curtis CHAIR Friends of Arrowe Country Park

Good Morning,
Thank you for your request for information shown below.
I can confirm that Ivy Farm was included in the schedule attached to the
SAR report to Cabinet of 27th November 2008, with the recommendation for
Community Transfer.

It was not subsequently identified as an individual asset in the Cabinet
report on the SAR of 15th January 2009. This was an oversight.

However, one of the resolutions of the January report stated that the
Strategic Asset Review be agreed and, therefore, how the Council has
resolved to deal with this asset has not changed - it will be offered
for Community Transfer, in due course.

The health screening that is being undertaken does not involve the use
of Ivy Farm Residential Centre. The screening involves a free health
check for Council gardening staff over the age of 40. The screening does
not provide health checks for the public.
I hope you find this information of use.
Yours sincerely
Jane Corrin
