I would like to request a complete list of suppliers/contractors
and consultants that have been used over the past financial year
when procuring I.t hardware and the total spend on i.t hardware
duringthe past financial year.

I would also like to request full details of the person(s) who
conduct the i.t purchasing there.

Dear Mr Connely

Thank you for your request for information, placed under the Freedom of
Information Act (2000).

The suppliers the Trust has engaged in relation to IT hardware are as
follows:

BT INET

DELL COMPUTER CORPORATION LTD

COMPUTACENTER (UK) LTD

MICROBUS LTD

INSIGHT DIRECT (UK) LTD

DSGI BUSINESS - PC WORLD

SPECIALIST COMPUTER CENTRES LTD

HEWLETT PACKARD LTD

We estimate that annual IT spend is approaching £2M.

We do not have a nominated person responsible for IT procurement, although
the director for IMT is Mr Peter Suter - see

All procurement activity is however facilitated in accordance with NHS
requirements.

I trust this information will be of assistance. I am however obliged to
advise you that if you are dissatisfied with the Trust's response to your
request you have a right to complain to the Trust and should set out your
concerns to Mr Peter Suter, Director of Information Management &
Technology, London Ambulance Service NHS Trust, 220 Waterloo Road, London
SE1 8SD. If you then still remain dissatisfied, you have a right under
Section 50 of the FOIA to seek a determination from the Information
Commissioner on whether the Act has been properly applied by the Trust.
