Dear Sir or Madam,

I should be grateful if you would provide me with copies of all
correspondence between the Identity & Passport Service (or any
agency acting on its behalf) and TNS, the polling organisation, in
relation to the "wave" reports of public opinion regarding the
national identity scheme.

Please also provide me with any advice that the Home Office or IPS
has received with respect to the drafting of survey questions about
the national identity scheme.

Yours faithfully,

Dear HQ Enquiries,

thank you for your reply. If costs permit, I would like copies of
all correspondence relating to the first and last wave studies.

If that would exceed the cost limits, then please provide me with
all correspondence relating to the last wave study and any more
general correspondence about the wave studies as a whole.

If that would also exceed the cost limits, then please instead
provide me with a list of what correspondence there has been
between IPS and TNS regarding the wave studies, so that I can
better direct you to the information that I require copies of.

Sincerely,

Dr. Geraint Bevan
