Dear Hillingdon Borough Council,
At the Council Question Time meeting on 2nd Feb Cllr Bianco, in
answer to a question about the Council's investment in 2 Icelandic
banks, said that Deloittes (who are the Council's external
auditors) had undertaken a review of the matter and found that no
rules had been broken.
Could you please let me have a copy of Deloitte's full
report/review document. Please provide this as an electronic copy
if possible.

Dear Mr Silverman
I am writing in response to your Freedom of Information Request below.
The information you are requesting is exempt from the Freedom of
Information Act 2000 (the 'Act') pursuant to S21 of the Act which states
that information is exempt from the requirements of S1 of the Act if the
information is reasonably accessible to the applicant by other means.
In this instance the review to which Cllr Bianco referred was
commissioned by the Audit Commission to review treasury management
arrangements for money held on deposit by English local authorities.
Hillingdon were not identified as being non-compliant. A copy of this
report is available from the Audit Commission Website
(http://www.audit-commission.gov.uk/) and is titled 'Risk & Return'.
I have also attached a copy to this email.
