Internal efficiency and progress on environmental issues

Louisa Herbs made this Freedom of Information request to Environment Agency

The request was successful.

From: Louisa Herbs

24 November 2008

Dear Sir or Madam,

Please would you tell me:

1) What is the approximate annual cost to the Agency of running the
'SHERMS' accident and near-miss reporting service. Please include
both staff costs and infrastructure costs.

2) Approximately how many hours per week do staff and contractors
spend filling in SHERMS reports and/or analysing them and/or
administrating the running of SHERMS.

3) How many lease vehicles and badged vehicles are provided by the
Agency at present?

4) What percentage of these are electric vehicles (EVs)?

5) What percentage of the Agency's offices and depots have EV
charging points?

6) What percentage of the Agency's offices and depots have "green"
cleaning contracts and use only environmentally responsible and
ethical products for cleaning?

7) What percentage of the Agency's offices and depots have policies
in place to ensure that consumables purchased for staff use
(dishwasher tabs, soap, air fresheners etc) are environmentally
responsible and ethically sound?

Thanks for your help

Yours faithfully

L. Herbs
