Dear Mr Willetts

Thank you for your e-mail received by Transport for London (TfL) on 25
February 2010. You asked for information about the yellow box on junction
of Lewisham Way and Parkfield Road SE14.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of
Information Act and I can confirm that TfL does hold the information you
require.

1. The box was last inspected on 14/08/2009 at the request of our
Congestion Charge and Traffic Enforcement department.

Photos were then taken and stored however, no recommendations were made
for re-painting the box as, at this time, the box was deemed to be in good
order.

As no defects were noted an inspection report was not generated.

2. The box was last re-painted on 26/05/2009.

3. I can confirm that TfL uses the Traffic Signs Regulations and General
Directions 2002 Schedule 6 Road Markings as a basis for the inspections
and that we do not have our own policy.

If this is not the information you are looking for, please do not hesitate
to contact Graham Hurt, Correspondence Support Manager – London Streets
at [1][email address].

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to
appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would
like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.

Once again, thank you for sending your request and I hope the information
we have provided has helped in answering your questions.

Yours sincerely
