Dear Mr Wren,

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request relating to a
'Screening Opinion' dated 30 May 2008.

The request for the Screening opinion was made by Pegasus Planning
Group in a letter dated 14th May 2008.

The Local Planning Authority issued its formal screening opinion in a
letter from Mr Butler dated 30th May 2008.

These documents are attached and are also publicly available by
inspection in person, at Brunel House Reception, or online via the
public access part of the council website
http://www.bristol.gov.uk/planning (selecting Planning Applications
Online following the prompts and searching under application number
08/03862/F).

The process which the Local Planning Authority followed was to test the
proposed development against the criteria set out within the T&CP (EIA)
(England and Wales) Regulations 1999, which enabled the determination to
be reached. This did not include producing any written material.

This process was undertaken without any reference to other council
departments nor was there any further discussions with the developer or
their representatives.

I can confirm that we do not hold any additional information relating
to this request.

This response should answer your request in full, however if you are
not satisfied with this response or wish to lodge an appeal against any
