Information on failure to answer my FOI requests

Dear Ministry of Defence,

Could you please provide me with information as to why the MOD has
failed to respond or provide the following information requested by
me under the FOI Act submitted via the “What do they know” web site

1: MOD radioactive waste policy and strategy 1 December 2009

2: Radioactive waste 12 March 2010

3: failure to remove hull valve test blanks on HMS
Turbulent/Tireless 4 May 2010

Dear Mr Dawson,

Thank you for your email/letter regarding your requests for information.
In response to your query, I have investigated the status of your
requests.

My investigation has revealed that your first and third requests for
information are with the relevant subject matter expert. Your complaint
has been passed to them and they have been asked to contact you as soon
as possible with either a response or an explanation for the delay.

The reference numbers for these requests are 01-12-2009-173107-002 and
04-05-2010-113826-003.

With regards to your request submitted on 12 March 2010, my enquiries
have revealed that your original request did not reach our mailbox on
the date you submitted it due to technical issues. The mailbox to which
we receive requests was unfortunately unavailable from 12th March until
the morning of 20th March.

I apologise for this and ask you to respond to this e-mail providing
your original request, which we will log and assign to the appropriate
subject matter expert immediately.
