Influence of month of birth on success in higher education
Paul Gaffney made this Freedom of Information request to University of Glasgow
The request was partially successful.
From: Paul Gaffney
5 October 2009
Dear Sir or Madam,
I would like a breakdown of the percentages of students born in
each calendar month(eg August ,September ,etc)studying at
undergraduate level( and postgraduate level) at the University of
Glasgow in 2009
Further I would like to see this broken down into each course
studied and each year of study.
Further if it wouldn't be too difficult I would like to see the
percentage born in each calendar month and its effect on degree
classification awarded in 2009
(I believe the August /September dates of birth will prove
extremely interesting!)
Excel format or simlar would readily do the job and be acceptable
Yours faithfully,
Paul Gaffney LLB(Glasgow)BA(Essex)
