We are pleased to provide the following information in response to your

Please provide the number of incidents of MRSA diagnosed in YGC in the
last 5 Years.
Answer
2006 - 398 persons
2007 - 375 persons
2008 - 290 persons to date
We do not hold information prior to 2006.
Please indicate how many of these cases was with all probability
contracted in YGC.
Answer
It is not possible for anybody to indicate where a person
contracted MRSA.
Please indicate the number of deaths attributable to MRSA in the
last 5 years
Answer
Because death certificates contain one or more causes of death it is not
possible to provide this information. The Trust does review all causes
of death and any death attributable to MRSA in anyway is reviewed.
