Dear Sir or Madam,
Reference the granting of a planning application for the
development of St Dunstan's Church on Shaftesbury Road Woking and
the subsequent Legal Agreement (106) and Travel Plan imposed for
the purpose of minimising traffic disruption. Point 8 of the Legal
Agreement (106) states that the church shall provide for a period
of ten years on each anniversary the following:
'a summary of measures taken to reduce vehicular movements to and
from the site and the success of those measures...a review of those
measures and make any changes to increase their effectiveness.'
The planning application for the development stated 'Two car park
stewards will be appointed to plan and manage the efficient use of
both car parks and permanent signs will be erected on the site to
instruct visitors to use on site car parking in preference to
parking on the road.' Please provide evidence that this happens for
EVERY service and function.
Included in the response please provide the following:
1. The baseline data taken during the first few weeks of the
churches operation
2. The amount of traffic measured at the first anniversary and at
which services this was gathered
3. How the data was captured and by whom
4. Exactly what measures have been taken to reduce traffic.
Yours faithfully,
Julie Kenyon

Dear Mr Morgan and ALL at Woking BC & St Dunstans
The figures provided by the church themselves clearly show that
their own 'professionally' prepared report into traffic volumes was
flawed - the local residents have been proved correct. It is time
for all those responsible for approving this planning application
including the chair of the LPA to accept their mistakes, apologise
and step down.
It also states that the church met local residents - yes they did,
once, however when the issue of parking was raised by several
people with church officials they walked off or ignored it - rude
and not exactly being good neighbours.
Yours sincerely,
Julie Kenyon
