Dear Sir or Madam,
Who is the Data Controller for the IMPACT Nominal Index?
Is there any documented process to request copies of personal
entries?
Yours faithfully,

Dear NPIA FOI Team,
Thank you for your prompt response, but I don't think you've
answered my second question: "Is there any documented process to
request copies of personal entries?"
In the extract from the data processing agreement it says the "Data
Controllers are the Chief Police Officers" then goes on to say they
are "represented for the purpose of this agreement by Mr Ian
Readhead."
Does Mr Redhead also represent the data controllers for the purpose
of subject access requests?
If not, to whom should they be addressed?
Yours sincerely,
Jason Sands

Dear Mr Sands,
The only information the NPIA hold on the 'process to obtain to request copies of personal entries' is to approch your local Police Force. This would be in the form of a Subject Access Request, details can normally be found on the relevent force website.
http://www.police.uk/forces.htm
Mr Readhead acts as the Data Controllers representative for the agreement to process data for the purposes of the INI. It does not replace each individual Data Controllers statutory duty to respond to Subject Access request at s7 of the DPA.
