ID scheme: expressions of interest

Dr. Geraint Bevan made this Freedom of Information request to Identity and Passport Service

Identity and Passport Service did not have the information requested.

From: Dr. Geraint Bevan

19 October 2009

Dear Sir or Madam,

It is being reported that approximately 2,000 people in Manchester
have registered an expression of interest via direct.gov.uk for
information about the launch of the ID scheme in Manchester; and
10,000 people nationally.

I should be grateful if you would provide me with figures for
expressions of interest from people in:

a) Scotland;
b) Glasgow; and
c) Edinburgh.

Alternatively, if you have a complete regional breakdown of the
figures across the UK, then I would be pleased to receive those
figures instead.

Yours faithfully,

Dr. Geraint Bevan
