of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, Ref No FOI/10/008.

The Councils budget cycle runs across calendar years so the information
provided is based on budgetary years (ie April to March).
The Councils spend on alleygate schemes over the past 5 years is as
follows:
2005/6 £38,060
2006/7 £11,668
2007/8 £59,403
2008/9 £28,454
2009/10 £30,630 to date

I hope the information provided here answers your enquiry. If however,
you are unhappy with the outcome, or the way in which Chorley Council has
handled your request, you may wish to make an appeal. This can be done in
