Dear Sir or Madam,

I would like to know how much Francis's Quango spends on cakes per
annum. If possible I would like a breakdown of expenditure by type
of cake.

And do you use free range eggs and organic ingredients.

Yours faithfully,

Angie

Unfortunately we do not hold detailed records of that information.

It is known that quite a lot is spent on cakes, often from M&S, Oxfam or
similar places. His house mate also makes cakes on a regular basis.
Francis himself usually makes puddings though, like crumbles and far
bretons, rather than cakes.

Hope that helps, and thank you for your interest in our awesome quango!

Francis

Hi Angie,

You asked us back in December how much Francis's Quango spends on
cakes per annum, and I've now realised that we gave a slightly evasive
reply.

We could of course answer your question, but will have to charge a fee
to do so. It will involve about 2 weeks work going through a backlog
of receipts, interviewing all house guests who have been present
at 4pm on any day in the last year, and carefully examining photos
taken of cakes that were present at parties that we've hosted.

Our normal consultancy rate is one million pounds per day, but we're
nice and will work weekends on this. So that will cost you 14 million
pounds total.

This is a fees notice under section 9 of the Freedom of Information
Act 2000. Please let me know if you would like to pay this fee for
this information!

Love and kisses,

Francis

In order to tempt you to pay the 14 million pound fee under section
9 of FOIA, I attach a picture of the kind of cake that you would
find out about.

Love,

Francis
