To Welsh Assembly Government/Llywodraeth Cynulliad Cymru by kathryn benbow 1 October 2010
How many schools for the Deaf in Wales
S Thom made this Freedom of Information request to Welsh Assembly Government/Llywodraeth Cynulliad Cymru
The request was successful.
From: S Thom
28 April 2009
Dear Sir or Madam,
What specialist schools did north and south Wales offer to
profoundly Deaf children from 1996 to April 2009. Could you also
list how many profoundly Deaf children are currently in Wales.
By specialist school I mean a special school for Deaf children that
supports the Deaf child's social, emotional, cultural and
linguistic development.
By Profoundly Deaf I mean those so Deaf that they use sign language
to communicate.
Yours faithfully,
S Thom
