Dear Sir or Madam,

Dog Control Orders Working Group
In your announcement of the setting up of the Working Party dated
6th May it is stated "Dog faeces left anywhere can be a serious
health risk" Before making such a statement you will of course have
researched the health problems caused by dog faeces.Toxicaria is
the most serious of the health risks associated with dog faeces.
How many cases have been recorded in Carmarthenshire in each of the
last two years?

Dear Mr Davies,

I refer to your request for information regarding cases of Toxocara
Canis, which was received on 15th May, 2009 and has been dealt with
under the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 as it concerns
information which relates to activities affecting the environment and
the state of human health and safety.

The specific information you requested was as follows:

1. The number of cases of Toxocara canis that have been reported in
Carmarthenshire in each of the last two years.

In response, I can confirm that we hold no recorded information
regarding any cases of Toxocara Canis reported to this Authority in each
of the last two years.
