How decisions are made on links to external sites

jdc325 made this Freedom of Information request to British Broadcasting Corporation

The request was successful.

From: jdc325

12 June 2008

Dear Sir or Madam,

Do the BBC have a written policy for making decisions on which
external sites to provide links to from the BBC website?

How offensive and/or dangerous would a site need to be before the
BBC would refuse to link to them?

Yours faithfully,

jdc
