Housing Market Assessment - Needs

In response to you enquiry, I herewith provide the answer set out below.

You are correct that in accordance with Government advice set out in PPS3 : Housing (see particularly but not exclusively Annex C, page 28), the Council has commissioned two housing studies as follows:

- a Strategic Housing Market Assessment which is being undertaken by Fordham Research at a cost of circa £50,000 (net of VAT).

- a Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment which is being undertaken by White Young Green (as part of a joint study with Knowsley and West Lancashire) at a cost to Sefton of circa £40,000 (net of VAT).

Both studies will be issued in draft over the next two months and will be subject to public and stakeholder consultations over a period of six weeks. Following this and following consideration of all comments received, final reports will be published as soon thereafter as practicable.
