Housing Management Costs

T. Morgan made this Freedom of Information request to Camden Borough Council

The request was successful.

From: T. Morgan

15 December 2009

Dear Camden Borough Council,

Does the council have any plans in the future to separate the costs
of tenant participation from rents and show this service as a
separate costing on the annual rent statements tenants receive?

I beleive this will allow tenants to have a choice as to whether or
not they wanted to pay for tenant participation depending on
whether they actually received the service, how these funds are
being spent and how accountably the tenants groups are.

The last figure for how much tenant participation was costing
tenants was in 2005 at £2-3m.

Yours faithfully,

T. Morgan
