Information request in accordance with the Freedom of Information

a) How many times was the website of the British National Party
(all urls beginning www.bnp.co.uk)accessed by House of Common's
Staff during the months of July, August and September 2009?

b) For the same periods what length of time was spent by House of
Common's staff accessing the bnp website?

The House of Commons does not hold the information requested. The parliamentary network is used by a wide variety of persons who work on the Estate including MPs and constituency staff, as well as the House of Commons' staff, whose use of the internet to visit public web sites for private, personal purposes is permitted, providing they do not contain material not consistent with the usage policy. We do not monitor such use as a general policy due to the issues of privacy concerned and only do so if absolutely necessary and permitted by law.

You may, if dissatisfied with the treatment of your request, ask the House of Commons to conduct an internal review of this decision.
