I acknowledge receipt of your enquiry, which we received on 27 October 2008, requesting information concerning the following:

As set out by the Freedom of Information Act, it will be our aim to respond to your request by 24 November 2008. However due to the considerable increase in the number and complexity of the requests we are presently receiving, we may be unable to achieve this deadline. Where this occurs we will advise you as soon as possible.

It may be that we need to seek further clarification or information from you, and this will add to the time in which we are allowed to respond to your request, of which you will be advised, together with the likely timescale within which the response will be provided.

Dear Sir or Madam,

Your response to my FOI request on homophobic hate crimes was due
on 21st November 2008, and you stated that you would try and get it
to me by 24th November. It has now been a few months and I am
advised to inform you that under the Freedom of Information Act you
