I acknowledge receipt of your enquiry dated 24.10.08 and received by Cleveland police on 27.10.08 requesting information concerning homophobic hate crime.

I write in connection with your request for information dated 27 October 2008 concerning homophobic hate crimes.
You asked :-
Could you please inform me of

the Crown Prosecution Service in the last year

It should be noted that Cleveland p[olice is made up of four districts twof of the districts provided figures in answer to Q2 the other two districts told me they did not keep this information.
If you are not satisfied with this response or any actions taken in dealing with your request you have the right to request that we review your case under our review procedure. If you decide to request that such a review is undertaken and following this process you are still dissatisfied you then have the right to direct your complaint to the Information Commissioner for consideration.

Dear Mr Henderson
As I stated in my reply the two districts informed me that they do not
record this information, therefore no information is held by Cleveland
police for that aspect of your request.The only thing I can suggest to
try and assist you is to ask the CPS to break down their figures and
tell you how many were dealt with by them from Cleveland then
subtracting the figures I sent you would give you a figure for the two
districts combined.
