and all documents relating to the current Homophobic Hate Crimes
bill in the Scottish Parliament.
Thank you.
Yours faithfully,

Dear Mr Henderson,
Thank you for your request for information relating to homophobic hate
crime in Scotland and to the Offences (Aggravation by Prejudice)
(Scotland) Bill currently making its way through the Scottish
Parliament. (The Bill and its accompanying documents are already in the
public domain and can be accessed [1]here.)
I am sorry to have to inform you that the response to your request will be
delayed, partly due to the very broad nature of the query. It would be
extremely helpful if you were able to provide me with some guidance as to
the nature of your area interest. Are you interested in the work that
was done ahead of the Bill, or perhaps the work spanning the last few
years? Are you particularly interested in data on hate crime? I
would be very grateful for a bit of a steer if at all possible.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind Regards,
Sara Stewart

Dear Sara,
I am particularly interested in documents such as briefing papers
for Government, Ministers or MSP's on the bill; documents produced
by the Government or by Civil Servants on the bill, and on what
position is to be taken on the bill; and especcially documents,
such as minutes of meetings, where the hate crimes bill was
discussed.
In short documents relating to the opinions and or positions of the
government and ministers on the hate crimes bill, and documents,
such as breifing papers, that could inform that opinion.
Please let me know if I can clarify it further.
Thanks for your assistance.
Yours sincerely,
Nick Henderson
