Dear Sirs,

Under the Freedom of Information Laws could you please indicate
whether or not you Authority pays any Allowance for travel from
Home to Duty.
If so please answer the following questions:-

1. What rate is payable

2. Is this for general travel or for other purposes only

3. Under what circumstance is an employee eligible to claim this
allowance

4. How much money has been paid out to employee under this category
per year since the last Local Government Reorg.

Dear Mr Bill,

Thank you for your request for information that was received today, 19th
January. I confirm that I will be dealing with your request under the
terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000. However prior to dealing
with your request I would be grateful if you could clarify what you mean
by the term "home to duty" - do you mean travelling from home to the
normal place of work or do you mean travelling from home to council
business which is not at the normal place of work? As soon as I have
received clarification I will proceed with your request.
