Dear Lincolnshire County Council,
I have a number of specific questions concerning the policy,

pupils in Lincolnshire.
1a. What is the current cost of providing return transport from
Caythorpe to Sir William Robertson High School, Welbourn – per
child, per day or week or term or year?
1b. How many children is this service currently provided for?
2a. What is the current cost of providing return transport from
Caythorpe to the Sleaford schools for pupils in the 6th form (years
12 and 13) – per child, per day or week or term or year?
2b. How many children is this service currently provided for?
3a. What is the current cost of providing return transport from
Caythorpe to the Grantham schools/college for pupils in the 6th
form – per child, per day or week or term or year?
3b. How many children is this service currently provided for?
4a. What is the current cost of providing return transport from
Hough on the Hill and Gelston to the Grantham secondary schools -
per child, per day or week or term or year?
4b. How many children is this service currently provided for?
5. Which geographic areas and villages are currently provided with
free or subsidised school transport to the grammar schools in
Grantham?
6. Which geographic areas and villages are currently provided with
free or subsidised school transport to the grammar schools in
Sleaford?
7a. Has the recommended “full-scale review of the County Council’s
Designated Transport Area Policy … as the current system is both
unfair and uneconomic” (Social Wellbeing Scrutiny Panel (October
2006) 'Home to School Transport for Pupils aged 4 to 16 years',
Lincolnshire County Council) been undertaken yet?
7b. If the answer to question 7a is 'NO', when is the review
scheduled to take place?
7c. If the answer to question 7a is 'YES', could I have a copy of
the review findings?
8. Does the Council continue to support the provision of grammar
school education in Lincolnshire?
9. What is the difference between 'catchment areas' and 'designated
transport areas'?
If the above questions represent too large a request for
information please advise me, so that I can submit each question as
a separate request. Thank you in anticipation for your help in
providing this information.
Yours faithfully,
Marianne Langley

Dear Infomgt,
With reference to my Freedom of Information request regarding
school transport
(http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/ho...),
I am writing to inform you that you have failed to reply promptly
and by 1st April 2010.
I tried to get answers to my questions back in 2009 and was told in
a letter from Cllr Bradwell, dated 9th September 2009, that my
questions would be dealt with "in accordance with the Freedom of
Information Act". You have so far failed to provide any information
in response to my specific questions about public expenditure in
regard to school transport.
I will be seeking advice about the matter and request an internal
review into why you continue to refuse this information.
Yours sincerely,
Marianne Langley
