Under the Freedom of Information act, could you inform me how many
members of London Borough of Croydon staff require Home Office U.K.
work permits to be in your employee. Please give the figure as a
percentage of total staff employed by you. Please do not include
employees of partnership companies working with your organisation.

Thank you for your email dated 8 March 2010 in which you have requested
information regarding how many members of London Borough of Croydon staff
require Home Office U.K work permits to be in our employee. We have
considered your request under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act
2000, and apologise for the delay in replying.

There are 44 current employees within the core council (not schools) that
have work permits. This is approximately 1% of the total council work
force.

If you are dissatisfied with the way the department has handled your
request under the Freedom of Information Act you may ask for an internal
review. You can do this by outlining the details of your complaint by
either:
