Holiday's for disabled children
S Thom made this Freedom of Information request to Isle of Anglesey Council
The request was partially successful.
From: S Thom
23 July 2010
Dear Isle of Anglesey Council,
Could you please list for me the numbers of disabled children known
by social services on Anglesey from July 2005 to July 2010.
Could you list all the family holiday's if any that were arranged
by Anglesey social services or paid for by Anglesey social services
during the same period.
I do not need to know about Saturday clubs or other non family
holiday activities. Just the numbers of disabled children and the
holidays arranged or paid for during the above mentioned periods.
Yours faithfully,
S Thom

Dear Isle of Anglesey Council,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of
Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Isle of Anglesey
Council's handling of my FOI request 'Holiday's for disabled
children'.
I am not happy the this Council will not respond on time to any of
the FOI requests made. Maybe a full review of the case will reveal
whats going wrong.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is
available on the Internet at this address:

Dear S. Thom,
I write to advise you that the Council has attempted to post its
response to your request by email on a number of occasions.
It appears that the response to your request has not been received
by the website, possibly because the Council's emails are not being
accepted by the website. Our ICT Service assures me that the emails
were sent by the Council. The administrators of the WDTK.com
website have been advised about this issue. We hope that this issue
can be resolved soon.
I have posted this response through the website and not through the
email address supplied by WDTK.com. I regret that technical issues
have hindered the provision of information that you have requested
in line with your rights.
Sincerely,
Huw Pierce Pritchard Corporate Information Officer

Dear Huw Pierce Pritchard,
You state that your social services have not arranged for any
family holiday's or short breaks, but you point families to other
outside agencies.
Could you please list for me the other outside
organisations/agencies that you have or would direct a family with
a child in need.
Yours sincerely,
S Thom

Dear Mr/s Tom
Thank you for your recent request for information, regarding
information relating to services that Social services provide for
families who require holiday's or short breaks. As you have know we often
refer families to outside organisations/agencies that can help a family
with a child in need to.
Once again, I have made the appropriate enquiries with the relevant
manager, Anne Jones, Manager Specialist Children's Services, who has
confirmed that all families are referred to Family Fund
(http://www.familyfund.org.uk) , an organisation that specialises in
providing support to individuals and their families.
Please note that this request is considered to be a 'Business as Usual'
rather than a 'Freedom of Information' request, and should you require
any further information, please contact Anne Jones on
(01248) 725940, who would be happy to discuss any further concerns with
you directly.
Following recent technical difficulties with What Do They Know.com, I
would be grateful if you could confirm receipt of this reply.
