history of accepted/ safe levels of ALL commonly monitored environmental contamination

Jason Wells made this Freedom of Information request to Environment Agency

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Environment Agency should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

From: Jason Wells

18 December 2008

Dear Sir or Madam,

I would like to know the history of accepted/ safe levels of ALL
commonly monitored environmental contamination in the UK up to the
last 100 years (if available).

This would include common chemicals/hazardous elements permitted to
be released into the environment including, but not limited to farm
produced contaminants (pesticides and other chemicals sprayed upon
crops), hazardous contaminants, overhead pylons, microwave emitting
devices (such as mobile phone masts), carbon-fuel refinery
discharges and permitted general acidity/pollution(chemical or
otherwise) in common ground water.

The main purpose of this is to determine whether permissible levels
of environmental contamination have risen or fallen over time.

Yours faithfully,

Jason Wells
