Dear Essex County Council,
Please supply the following information:
1. The nature, length, costs and details of the contracts with
suppliers employed to deploy temporary / permanent highways speed
measuring strips, and any other highways speed monitoring
equipment.
2. The cost per deployment for speed loop strips, plus the
variables which may influence an individual deployment.
3. The method and criteria used to schedule speed loop deployment.
4. The locations of the FIVE years of speed loop deployments.
5. The next 12 months' schedule / forecast of speed loop
deployments.
6. Exactly how and where the speed loop data is used in helping
determine road safety improvements or helping inform Council
highways investment decision making.

Dear Mark Ralling (HT Programme Manager),
On 11 August you wrote to me promising a response. To date this has
not been received. I know ECC maintain an internal log of all FOI
requests, and I should wish to know the reason for this
non-compliance.
Should a satisfactory answer not be recieved within 7 days I will
take the issue further to the councillors responsible.
