HGV roadside stop operations.

phil made this Freedom of Information request to Vehicle and Operator Services Agency

The request was refused by Vehicle and Operator Services Agency.

Dear Sir or Madam,

Please can you provide the following information.

During 2009 (Jan - July), how many HGV roadside stop operations
(for enforcement purposes) have been carried out by VOSA.

The information I am after is how many roadside stops are in effect
at any one time in the UK, the number of teams performing the
roadside stops and the total for the year so far.

For example, if VOSA has one team of officers operating a roadside
stop for 10 days in one area and another team of officers operating
a roadside stop in another area for the same 10 days then the total
would be, 2 teams have performed 20 roadside stops operations over
the 10 day period.

Also, please can you provide the number of times a vehicle has been
called into a roadside stop operation so far this year?

Thank you for your time.

Yours faithfully,

Phil Clarke

Dear Sir or Madam,

Thank you for your reply. I can see how gathering and analysis of
all Road Check Plans for the time period stated is unachievable
under the terms of the freedom of information act.

Therefore, I would like to alter my request to the following.

Please can you provide a copy of the July Road Check Plan for each
of the 23 Traffic areas.

I hope this brings my request within acceptable parameters.

Yours faithfully,

Phil Clarke
