Dear Mr Reynolds,

Thank you for your information request of 24 May 2010, made under the
Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA). Aberdeen City
Council (ACC) has completed the necessary search for the information
requested.

I respectfully request the contact details of the person/persons who
have the responsibility of dealing with all Health and Safety matters
with regard to the general public and in particular, the requirements
under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 and 2005 at buildings owned
or operated from by the council

The Health & Safety Manager for Aberdeen City Council is:

Mary Agnew
Health and Safety Manager
Corporate Governance
Tel: 01224 523088
E-mail: [email address]

She is the competent person in terms of the legislation and offers
advice only. It is not her responsibility to deal with Health & Safety
matters in all council buildings, that lies with the manager of each
building.

If your query is in relation to a particular building, on
clarification, we can then obtain contact details. If it is all Council
buildings then there are around 450 properties, and there is no
centrally held list particularly for this. Please see attached
Information Not Held Notice.

If your request is in relation to access to Council buildings under the
Disability Discrimination Act then I would suggest that you contact:

Trevor Smith
Principal Architect
Enterprise, Planning and Infrastructure
Tel: 01224 522318
E-mail: [email address]

We are unable to provide you with a list of contact details for every
council building as it is not held by the Council. In order to comply
with its obligations under the terms of section 17 of the FOISA, the
Council must issue an official notice in relation to any requests for
information not held by it. I therefore attach an Information Not Held
notice.

We hope this helps with your request.

Yours sincerely,

Jean Reid
FOI Compliance Assistant
