Dear Sir or Madam,

I notice you have a new logo for Hastings Borough Council.
Please can you let us know if you used an external agency to design
it. And if so how much money was spent on the design and also how
much this rebranding will cost.

Yours faithfully,

K Smith

Request for Information Ref: 09/001

Information relating to the new HBC logo:
- Was an external agency used to design it?
No external agency was used. The new logo was an enhancement of a set of
logos designed by our internal Marketing and Communications service in
2003.

- If so how much money was spent on the design.
Not applicable
- How much this rebranding will cost.
The report to Cabinet of 03 November 2008 on this matter
([1]http://www.hastings.gov.uk/meetings/meet...)
explains how the logo was selected and the proposed implementation
timetable which is intended to result in no additional costs over the use
of the existing logo, and which will result in some longer term savings
resulting from the move away from pre-printed stationery and the expansion
of the council's websites as primary communications channels.
