Dear Sir or Madam,

On the BERR page about The Legislative and Regulatory Reform Act it
says:

"The Better Regulation Executive has issued step–by–step guidance
for officials wishing to use the order–making powers to deliver
regulatory reform. For this and contact details for the guidance,
please visit the Better Regulation Unit Intranet site [NB:This site
is only available for Government departments].

I would like a copy of the step-by-step guidance for officials, as

Dear Mr Irving

FOI 08/0231
I am writing to confirm that we have now completed our search for the
information you requested on 14/04/2008 regarding Guidance notes for
officials who want to use the order making powers in the Legislative and
Regulatory Reform Bill . A copy of the information which can be disclosed
can be found on the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory
Reform's (BERR) website at: [1]http://www.berr.gov.uk/files/file45999.pdf

However, where appropriate, the contact details of officials have been
withheld under Section 40 of the FOI (personal information). The
definition of personal information to which section 40 applies is wide and
can include references to identifiable individuals. The exemption from the
duty to disclose personal data is an absolute exemption, therefore, there
is no need to consider the public interest test.

Please find attached a PDF copy. <<20080501 Redacted LRO Guidance.pdf>>
