Kaihsu Tai made this Freedom of Information request to Oxford City Council

The request was successful.

From: Kaihsu Tai

25 October 2009

Dear Madam or Sir,

I noticed that Grantham House, an estate owned by the Oxford City
Council, has been boarded up for several months. Would you please
tell me the reason for it being placed out of use and boarded up,
and also what are the current plans or options for returning it to
use? Thank you very much.

Sincerely,

Dr Kaihsu Tai

Dear Dr Tai

With regard to your Freedom of Information request, I can now respond as
follows:

Grantham House is surplus to the Council's requirements and owing to the
economic climate it was decided not to actively market the property.
Oxford City Council is currently reviewing this and a decision will be
made shortly on the best way to proceed.

Many thanks
