Graduation Photography Services Contract Ref 414

Thank you for your freedom of information request made on 16 May 2008. In
it you asked for information on who won DMU contract 414 for Graduation
Photographic Services and what was the tender offer.

I can confirm that the University holds relevant information.

In the case of question 1, I can report that the contract was won by Wm
Northam & Company Ltd

In the case of question 2 I am currently considering if an exemption
applies under section 41 of the Freedom of Information Act. I anticipate
that it will take a further week before my considerations are complete at
which time I will write to you again.

In my previous correspondence on 13 June (see below) I provided you with
some of the information you sought from the University and wrote that I
would communicate further once a determination had been made on an
exemption. I have considered your request for "what was the tender offer"
and included a consideration of the public interest. I have determined
that two exemptions apply. These are;

Section 41 - That the information you seek was supplied to the University
in confidence.

Section 43 - That disclosure of details of the offer and pricing would be
prejudicial to the commercial interests of the organisation.
