Dear P Chapman

Thank you for your request for information. You asked for the cost of
running a Graduate Recruitment Scheme within our authority. I am please
to provide the following information.

The Devon County Council Graduate Programme forms a part of the IDeA's
National Graduate programme and as such, is jointly funded by the IDeA and
DCC. All initial recruitment costs and University fees are paid for by
the IDeA. Devon County Council does not hold information regarding the
cost of this stage.

Devon County Council covers the costs of salaries plus on-costs, travel
and skills training additional to the MSc provided by the IDeA. We also
fund a part time co-ordinator for the programme, and provide assistance to
the Graduate Business Partnership Programme with Exeter University, to
support short term graduate work experience placements within DCC. The
total cost to the Council is £104K per annum.

I hope this information is of use.
